Anderson Knight Recruitment is working with a large, well-established organisation to appoint an HR Adviser to support a busy operational site. This role sits within a wider People function and will play an important part in delivering people-focused initiatives that align with business goals.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on HR support, working closely with managers to improve performance, engagement, and overall employee experience.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to work from home one to two days per week. There is also the opportunity to work on a four-day week basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Build effective working relationships with managers and regularly review people-related priorities and challenges
* Provide practical HR advice and guidance across a range of day-to-day issues
* Use HR data and reports to identify trends and support informed decision-making
* Assist with workforce planning and structural changes within teams
* Support the delivery of employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
* Ensure performance review processes are completed effectively and on time
* Handle employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, and grievance matters, ensuring a consistent and compliant approach
* Maintain positive relationships with employee representatives and support consultation processes where required
* Guide and coach managers on people management best practice
* Contribute to talent development discussions and support learning initiatives across the site
* Support recruitment activity, including workforce planning and building talent pipelines
* Keep up to date with employment legislation and ensure HR practices remain compliant
* Assist with wider HR projects and continuous improvement activities
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree qualified or equivalent experience
* Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a fast-paced or operational environment
* Solid understanding of core HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, and engagement
* Confident working with and influencing managers at different levels
* Ability to interpret HR data and apply insights in a practical way
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload
Desirable
* CIPD qualification or working towards
* Experience supporting training or development initiatives
* Familiarity with HR systems and reporting tools
