Main duties of the job You will provide high-quality, patient-centred care through a mix of face‑to‑face consultations and telephone triage, managing a structured clinic of appointments across morning and afternoon sessions.
The role includes assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, as well as supporting continuity of care for registered patients.
You will work collaboratively with the wider clinical team, contributing to shared decision‑making and efficient patient management.
About us We are a well‑organised, patient‑focused practice operating across two sites in Wirral: Hoylake & Meols Medical Centre (approx. 9,000 patients) and Egremont Medical Centre (approx. 4,500 patients).
The team includes 4 Partners, 7 Salaried GPs, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), 4 Practice Nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics, and a dedicated Clinical Administration Team.

Job responsibilities The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and benefit from a structured working day, flexible scheduling, and a strong focus on reducing administrative burden.
Key responsibilities include:
Morning session: 12 patient appointments + 3 telephone calls
Afternoon session: 12 patient appointments + 2 telephone calls
No on‑call duties, flexible start and finish times, and a clear commitment to work‑life balance.
Support & Resources
Paramedics handle the majority of home visits
Clinical Pharmacists support medication management and prescribing queries
Clinical Admin Team reduces administrative burden on GPs
Efficient triage and workflow systems in place
EMIS Web clinical system used for accurate record keeping
