Production Operative - Entry Level
Location: Southend on Sea
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £27,000
Hours: 8am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 3.30pm Friday (39 hours per week)
Overtime available paid at Time and a half
Our client is seeking an entry-level Technician to support their repair activities, providing essential services to commercial and regional aircrafts.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Repair and overhaul aircraft wheels and brakes, ensuring they are ready for service.
Identify and control parts by querying work orders and utilizing various computer systems to determine work scope.
Follow detailed work instructions, maintenance manuals, and customer specifications to execute tasks accurately.
Engage in routine maintenance tasks under the guidance of a qualified trainer.
Conduct visual inspections and basic repairs as part of the training process.
Adhere to strict safety protocols throughout all repair activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
NVQ Level 1, Vocational Qualification Level 1, GCSE grades D-G, ESOL skills for life, or Functional Skills Level 1 in English, Math, and ICT.
Proficiency in math, reading, and writing in English.
Basic PC skills.
Initial understanding and working knowledge of tools and equipment.
Positive and professional attitude, punctuality, and reliability.
Ability to follow instructions and assist in routine maintenance tasks.
Familiarity with safety protocols and basic metrology equipment.
