Senior / Medical Writer – Oncology (Publications Focus)

Are you an experienced Medical Writer with a passion for scientific storytelling and turning complex oncology data into impactful publications? We’re looking for a Senior and a Medical Writer to join a growing, collaborative publications team supporting cutting-edge developments in cancer and molecular imaging.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality, data-driven manuscripts, abstracts, and congress materials that communicate novel research to the global scientific community.
Working closely with scientists, clinicians, and cross-functional colleagues, you’ll help shape publication strategy and contribute to the ongoing success of innovative oncology programmes.
What You’ll Do
* Develop, write, and edit manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations that accurately reflect scientific and clinical data.
* Analyse and interpret complex data outputs to craft clear, insightful, and impactful publications.
* Collaborate with internal authors, medical experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure scientific accuracy and editorial excellence.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
* Support literature reviews, data analysis, and publication planning initiatives.
* Contribute to a team culture that values collaboration, flexibility, and mutual support—helping colleagues when deadlines or priorities shift.
About You
* PhD in a life-science discipline, or MSc/BSc with relevant medical writing experience.
* 3–5 years’ experience for the Senior role or 1–3 years for the Medical Writer position.
* Proven experience writing and managing scientific publications—must be acknowledged author or contributor on at least one published paper.
* Prostate cancer expertise is essential; familiarity with medical imaging or PET is a distinct advantage.
* Background in medical communications, pharma, or med-tech preferred (not academia).
* Comfortable working with complex datasets and data tables, drawing accurate scientific conclusions.
* Strong knowledge of publication standards (ICMJE, GPP3/4) and best practices in scientific communication.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote, supportive team environment.
