We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Community Dentist to join our dynamic Community Dental Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the oral health of vulnerable populations, including children, older adults, individuals with special needs, and those unable to access mainstream dental care.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality dental care in a variety of settings – clinics, care homes, and domiciliary environments. This role offers a unique blend of clinical challenge, community engagement, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive dental care to patients with complex needs.
* Deliver preventative and restorative treatments in community settings.
* Collaborate with dental nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in oral health promotion initiatives.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to governance standards.
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
