/Preferred Qualifications
Part of the SPTS Engineering division, the Equipment Engineering and Development Group is a multi-disciplined team, providing automation solutions to enable the integration of SPTS process systems into customer semiconductor fabrication factories worldwide!
As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced/proven Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer with a detailed understanding of all aspects of electrical and electronic design.
You would be working with other specialists in the group with equipment design/integration and expect to work to tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical / electronic control and interface design
2. Electrical assembly design
3. Design of electrical enclosures using Solid Edge
4. Wiring harness design
5. AC/DC power distribution circuit design
6. Analogue and digital circuit design
7. Fault finding / problem solving
8. Designing critical safety circuits to comply with EN13849
9. Technical report writing
10. Producing engineering drawings, build and test guides.
Qualifications and Experience:
11. Minimum Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
12. Proven experience working in an electrical/electronic design role
13. Strong understanding of Machinery safety regulations and EU harmonized standards, EN60204, EN13849 essential
14. Understanding of UL/NFPA regulations
15. Design of safety circuits
16. AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent experience
17. 3D CAD experience is desired
Key Skills:
18. A flexible work ethic and ability to use initiative
19. Good analytical and fault finding skills
20. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
21. Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
