The post holder will lead on all aspects of clinical governance for multiple organisations across the Trauma Resus client group.
What you’ll be doing
1. Lead on various aspects of internal clinical governance as directed by the director of quality, Head of Clinical Governance, or Chief Medical Officer.
2. Attend all internal clinical governance meetings.
3. Lead quality improvement projects.
4. Manage external clinical governance matters with clients, including: conducting first aid/medical needs assessments, producing quality improvement plans, forming clinical governance committees, chairing meetings in the absence of the medical director, conducting audits, testing emergency response plans, detailed report writing, providing clinical advice, supporting incident debriefs.
5. Ensure contractual commitments regarding calls, audits, and meetings are met.
6. Complete external audit programmes and ensure timely reporting and actioning of audit findings.
7. Provide clinical advice on trauma, resuscitation, first aid, and training courses in line with company policies and guidelines.
8. Advise on equipment procurement.
9. Support training material development, ensuring currency and adherence to evidence-based guidelines.
10. Produce safety alerts, position statements, and other clinical documents.
11. Escalate concerns to senior medical staff as appropriate.
12. Support internal instructor training and act as a mentor/preceptor for new staff.
13. Deliver training across the UK on Trauma Resus courses as required.
14. Maintain training equipment per company guidance.
15. Ensure external accreditation standards are maintained.
16. Support exhibitions and conferences.
17. Assist with equipment orders and provide offshore medic cover if required.
18. Perform additional duties as needed to support business requirements.

Other requirements
Qualifications
* Current registration with NMC or HCPC.
* ALS, APLS, PHTLS certifications.
* Level 3 Teaching & Assessing qualification or equivalent.
* GIC / GIC instructor certification.
* Full UK driving license.
* Training in Human Factors, Leadership & Management, and Health & Safety.
* Internal Quality Assurance or commitment to achieve it.
Experience
* Clinical practice in trauma and resuscitation.
* Delivering training to staff at various levels.
* Leading and managing teams.
* Influencing external stakeholders.
* Managing clinical governance and risk.
* Working with accrediting bodies.
Knowledge and skills
* Understanding pre-hospital care challenges.
* Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
