What We Are Looking For
An exciting opportunity has opened at Metropolitan Gaming for a creative and digitally‑minded individual looking to build their career in social media and content creation. This role offers hands‑on experience producing engaging content across our social platforms. From capturing moments in our venues to supporting campaigns, events and brand storytelling, providing valuable exposure within a fast‑paced marketing team across our growing business.
Main Responsibilities
* Create and capture engaging content for Metropolitan Gaming’s social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube for four London venues.
* Film, photograph and edit content across venues to showcase gaming, food and beverage, events and the overall customer experience.
* Plan, schedule and publish social media content in line with the marketing calendar, ensuring activity supports campaigns, promotions and key brand moments.
* Monitor social media performance and assist with reporting and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
* Stay informed on emerging social media trends, formats and platform updates, bringing new ideas and creative approaches to content.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across marketing, gaming and food & beverage teams to capture content and support venue activity.
* Maintain strong brand consistency across all content, ensuring visual standards and tone of voice align with Metropolitan Gaming guidelines.
* Support the promotion of events, campaigns and new initiatives through timely and engaging social media content.
* Conduct competitor and industry research to help inform content ideas and identify opportunities within the social media landscape.
* Use internal systems such as Sprout Social and Asana to manage content scheduling, collaboration and workflow.
* Demonstrate initiative and strong problem‑solving skills when identifying opportunities to capture engaging content or respond to live moments.
* Requires flexibility in working hours, including occasional evening or weekend work to support events and promotional activity. The position will mainly involve travelling between our London venues, with potential to travel to provincial locations where required.
Skills
* Strong content creation skills including photography, videography and short‑form video production
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite relevant to content creation (e.g. Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects)
* Solid understanding of major social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
* Basic video editing and visual storytelling skills tailored to social‑first formats
* Excellent written communication and caption writing skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a social media content calendar
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media performance and reporting metrics
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills when working with venues and internal teams
* Awareness of current social media trends, platform updates and emerging content formats
* Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and identify content opportunities
This position requires working nights, evenings, weekends and shifts that coincide with a 24/7 trading week so individuals should be flexible in their scheduling.
