At Sandvik Mining we’re currently looking for a Manager Global Operational Excellence to join us in our Ground Support Division.
Location flexible in Europe, in one of our entities.
Reporting directly to our Vice President Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you will lead cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and implement lean methodologies to optimize processes. What you will be doing:
1. Promote reconciliation of global business strategies and KPIs with operations globally, thus impact of operations on profitability and growth (bottom-line/top-line).
2. Drive a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, lean and ultimately end-to-end process optimization across the organization.
3. Develop and implement metrics/KPIs and audits to monitor, steer and measure the success of operational excellence/lean/productivity initiatives in close cooperation with different stakeholders.
4. Think visionary towards best-in-class production and end-to-end optimization.
5. Drive standardization for and continuous improvement of core processes in the value chain to improve efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality whilst fully supporting HSE requirements and compliance.
6. Identify needs of education and training to improve the establishment of a self-learning LEAN Organization, thus building and developing a lean organization consisting of lean managers.
7. Provides coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to implement operational excellence methodologies (like lean, Kanban, 5s, six sigma).
What we are looking for:
8. Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
9. Previous work experience in a manufacturing and supply chain environment.
10. Profound experience in operational excellence, manufacturing, lean, six-sigma, or black belt methodologies.
11. A proactive, hands-on approach combined with a strong analytical and problem-solving mentality.
12. Ability to communicate effectively measures and strategies, from shopfloor to management.
13. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead intercultural and cross-functional teams.
14. Proven success to motivate and inspire others, creating a collaborative mindset.
15. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
16. Proficiency in MS Office products (especially Excel, PPT), Power BI and MS Power Platform is an advantage.
17. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
