Job Title: Information Governance Analyst
Contract Type: 12 months Fixed-Term contract
Salary: £46,466.39 (£51,301.09 is achieved after 12 months successful performance in the role)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: Liverpool / Hybrid

The difference you will make as Information Governance Analyst
Are you passionate about information, data quality, and governance? This is your chance to shape how information is managed across a large and complex organisation.
In this role, you'll be a key member of our Information Governance Team, driving the development and delivery of data quality standards, processes, and solutions that underpin our Group-wide Information Governance Strategy.
What you'll be doing
* Work side by side with operational teams to identify and empower Data Stewards and Owners, giving them the tools and confidence to succeed.
* Own and maintain the Information Asset Register.
* Provide expertise and support across multiple change projects.
* Spot and solve data quality issues, and delivering process improvements that enhance accuracy, and trust in our data.
* Support the operation of the Data Stewardship Councils, ensuring strong collaboration and accountability.
* Lead on the development, enhancement, and maintenance of key datasets - checking for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness, getting to the root cause of issues, and recommending long-term, sustainable solutions.

Role Profile
Role requires you to:
* Create data and information governance standards and procedures
* Create and maintain a data and information governance RACI and RAID log
* Work closely with operational risk teams to highlight all data risks
* Identify appropriate Data Stewards and Owners and provide them with support and training
* Own and maintain the Information Asset Register
* Ensure Riverside meets all its regulatory reporting obligations
* Provide assurance over change activity and data projects
* Identify and resolve data quality problems
* Evaluate datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness
* Determine root causes for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions
* Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality and security
* Support the running of the Data Stewardship Councils
* Support development, enhancement and maintenance of multiple datasets
* Work closely with the DPO to ensure appropriate policies, standards and controls are in place
* Work with the business to create an information store for data dictionaries, glossaries and troubleshooting problems

* The Group has offices across the UK and on this basis, there may be the requirement to travel to other locations to effectively perform this role
* The role will be exposed to sensitive information; therefore the role holder is expected to maintain levels of confidentiality at all times

Essential
* Detailed knowledge of data governance principles
* Strong knowledge of the GDPR
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience of building and executing plans
* Experience of meeting and workshop facilitation
* Experience working with multiple stakeholders
* Results driven and passionate about data governance
* Self-motivated and able to organise own workload
Desirable
* Experience of the UK housing sector or other highly-regulated industry
* Experience with Tableau, Excel and SQL
* Experience working as part of an agile squad.
