Orthopaedic Trauma Unit, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
Band 5 – various hours available
We have posts within the Orthopaedic Trauma Unit for band 5 Staff Nurses. The unit consists of 2 wards (ward 212 & ward 213). The unit has a total of 40 beds. We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries from minor hand and foot injuries to major trauma patients with multiple injuries.
The unit is very fast-paced and has a high turnover of patients aged 16 upwards. This post will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain skills working with pre & post-operative patients.
We are therefore looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic nurses with an interest in surgical nursing & orthopaedics. The successful candidate should possess excellent organisational & time management skills.
Previous experience of working with Adults with incapacity or Dementia is desirable but training will be given.
