Technology Resilience SME – 6 months (Inside IR35)
Overview:
Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the core functions of Technology Resilience (TR), which include but not limited to, Disaster Recovery (key), Cloud Computing (key), Availability Planning and Supplier Management.
You will use your technical domain knowledge, leadership, communication and planning skills to help ensure availability of business services to defined impact tolerances and provide technical assistance and guidance to other parts of CIO and the line of business organisation as required. For example, Live Service and Projects etc
Accountabilities:
* Facilitate resilience testing and provide subject matter oversight for the technology estate, including Cloud, On Premise, Mainframe and Third Party SaaS solutions
* Work with the COO Operational Resilience team in providing a combined and aligned approach to Resilience.
* Perform Resilience Assessments and manage remediation action plans.
* With key suppliers, plan, manage and execute testing within the remit of Technology Resilience including Disaster Recovery, resilience and backup and restore testing
* Managing relationships with key and relevant external IS suppliers, so as to ensure aligned on delivery and support activities, optimising opportunities to derive added value and ensure that costs are appropriately managed.
* Optimising the IT resilience environment. Ensuring action is taken to provide the required capacity, availability and resilience to meet agreed demand (including removal of any redundant capacity or capability).
Technical Skills:
* Experience in technology resilience testing
* In depth understanding and experience of Cloud computing
* Developing and Governing IT Strategies & Architectures: Intermediate
* Managing IT Security, Risk & Compliance: Basic
* Supporting and Maintaining IT Solutions – Intermediate
* In depth understanding of disaster recovery subject matter speciality
* Experience of working with service and technical team of IT experts.
* ITIL ® Foundation qualification or above desirable
* Experience of managing outsourced or offshore supplier support groups.
