Job Description: Youth Development Worker
Sellick Partnership is supporting the recruitment of a Youth Development Worker to work within a supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25. The role involves encouraging young people experiencing homelessness to aim high, dream big, and fulfill their ambitions.
Working Schedule
The position follows a rolling 4-week rota that includes:
* 3 night shifts per week
* 5 day shifts
* Weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday over the course of a month
Hours per week: 37
Key Responsibilities
* Providing key worker support to young people
* Working through support and action plans
* Updating risk assessments and risk management plans to help young people develop necessary life skills for independent living
* Collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Accompanying young people to appointments
Candidate Requirements
* Good understanding of young people's needs, safeguarding, and mental health issues
* Knowledge of support needs and support planning
* Enhanced DBS check (child and adult)
