Goodman Masson is partnering with a dynamic, rapidly growing Events & Exhibitions business to appoint a hands-on, standalone
Finance Manager
- supported by the external accountants.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible, broad finance role within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial company. The business delivers world-class events for global brands and is backed by private equity, with ambitious growth plans already underway.
The Role:
Reporting to the MD and CEO and working closely with senior leadership, you'll have full ownership of finance – from reporting and compliance through to driving process improvements and supporting commercial decision-making. You will look to take away processes from the external accountants and put in place best in class systems and team.
Key responsibilities:
* Full ownership of the finance function, supported by external accountants
* Preparation of monthly management accounts with insightful commentary
* Leading year-end reporting and managing the audit process
* Cash flow forecasting and daily cash management
* Oversight of payroll, VAT returns and tax compliance
* Business partnering with senior stakeholders and founders
* Producing KPI and financial analysis to support strategic decisions
* Driving process, systems and control improvements
* Managing external providers for transactional finance
What We're Looking For:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) but open to QBE
* Strong knowledge of job costing, and project-based revenue models
* Hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
* Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge and partner with senior leadership
* Strong on cash flow, cost control, and process implementation
