Our client is a well-established industrial and logistics contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the UK. Operating from the West Midlands, they specialise in the construction of distribution centres, warehousing, manufacturing facilities and logistics developments, with project values ranging up to £150m. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support projects nationwide.
Senior Health & Safety Advisor Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide health and safety support across multiple industrial and logistics construction projects nationwide.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company and legislative requirements.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Advise project teams, subcontractors and senior management on health and safety best practices.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and training sessions to site personnel.
- Support the development and implementation of Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments and method statements.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance, producing detailed reports for senior management and clients.
- Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across all project teams.
Senior Health & Safety Advisor Requirements
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum qualification.
- NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working within the construction sector, ideally on industrial, logistics, manufacturing or large-scale commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and current UK health and safety legislation.
- Experience supporting projects valued up to £150m would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
- IOSH membership, with CMIOSH or working towards chartership preferred.
