Role Details
Hybrid Working: Candidates need to be comfortable travelling to Make-A-Wish Reading at least once per month at their own expense.
Contract: Full Time, permanent
Salary: £43,505

Core Purpose
As our Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing and supporting our digital platforms, with a primary focus on Salesforce. You'll work across strategic projects and agile sprints to resolve issues, implement improvements, and shape the future of our Salesforce ecosystem. You'll collaborate with teams across Wishgranting, Referrals, Finance, Income, and Brand to streamline processes and drive efficiencies. Beyond Salesforce, you'll contribute to other platforms including our Volunteer Management System (Assemble), website CMS, and API-led integrations. You'll also have opportunities to engage in innovation initiatives such as Microsoft-led hackathons and partner-driven projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Salesforce Management: Administer and maintain the Salesforce platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and configuration.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and resolve platform issues, recommend enhancements, and stay current with Salesforce developments.
* User Support & Training: Onboard and train users, develop internal champions, and provide second/third-line support.
* Agile Delivery: Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, deliver user stories, and collaborate on technical solutions.
* Cross-Platform Integration: Support integrations with Assemble, web/mobile apps, and APIs; assist with service desk and website coverage.
* Innovation & Strategy: Contribute to hackathons and explore new technologies to enhance digital capabilities.
* Data Governance: Ensure data quality, compliance, and support effective reporting and dashboarding.
Essential Criteria
* Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
* Salesforce certification or proven hands-on experience
* 2+ years in Salesforce Admin or Engineering roles (preferably in non-profit)
* Experience with Experience Cloud and Non-Profit Success Pack
* Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket, and AGILE frameworks
* Knowledge of change management tools such as 'Visual Studio Code' and Apex/LWC Components would be beneficial
* Strong understanding of GDPR and regulated environments
* Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid, agile environment
