Location: Alexandra House Residential Home, Poole, BH14 9EW Pay rate: £12.35 - £12.75 per hour. Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week (to include alternate weekends) We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Housekeeper to join the team at Alexandra House - our beautiful residential care home in Parkstone, Poole. As a not-for-profit charity within Social Care, we focus on the reward and recognition of all our people, our benefits include: Blue Light Shopping Discount Card Reward and Recognition Schemes Employee Assistance Programme Industry Based Qualifications What you will be doing: Leading a small dedicated team of Housekeepers - providing direction and support Ensuring that cleaning, laundry and domestic equipment is maintained - and in line with health & safety guidelines All minor faults & repairs to equipment are reported promptly Ensuring that show rooms for viewing are presented to a high standard Preparing schedules which identify and allocate responsibility for daily, weekly & monthly cleaning tasks Ordering stock of cleaning products & PPE including ensuring all First Aid boxes are appropriately stocked and sited in accessible areas Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for all our residents Responsible for our laundry area of the home Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas, office space and residents own rooms/bathrooms Who are we looking for: Previous Supervisory Experience Is Preferred. A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy. Happy to LEAD THE TEAM and also join in as part of a larger Housekeeping team.
