This is an exciting opportunity to join Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust as a key player in providing effective ambulance services across Yorkshire and Humber.
The Trust's fleet team seeks an experienced, confident, and skilled Sub-Workshop Manager to support maintenance and repair services for emergency and non-emergency vehicles at our Bradford workshop.
Main duties of the job
The Sub-Workshop Manager works 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on operational demands.
You will oversee fleet maintenance and repairs for approximately 221 vehicles, managing relationships with parts suppliers, contractors, internal teams, and ensuring legal compliance and high standards of maintenance.

You will manage a small team to ensure timely, cost-effective vehicle repairs, maintenance, and servicing, driving continuous improvements and efficiencies. You will supervise trainees, staff on secondment, and external contractors.

Qualifications & Knowledge
* Degree or equivalent with specialist knowledge
* Leadership and team development experience
Experience
* Management experience in mechanical, electrical, or engineering services
* NHS experience preferred
* Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* Valid C1 driving license
