Project Overview:
The Cost Estimator will support projects across upstream, midstream, and energy transition assets (e.g., CCS, LNG, hydrogen). The role involves preparation and analysis of CAPEX estimates, benchmarking, and review of internal and third-party estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates for services, equipment, construction, and sub-contracts using engineering deliverables and bill of materials.
* Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers for tender and pricing data.
* Produce cost estimating methodology reports, including assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions.
* Develop and update CAPEX estimates aligned with Company requirements and CBS structure.
* Conduct cost trend analysis, market pricing analysis, and cost benchmarking.
* Review third-party and internal cost estimates, and perform scaling/sensitivity analysis.
* Standardise cost estimating systems, tools, and procedures.
* Verify estimates against sanctioned project budgets in coordination with Project Managers.
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong background in cost estimating within oil & gas development projects (upstream/midstream essential; offshore gas/LNG desirable).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential).
* Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
