Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Pipe Fabrication Estimator to join a growing pipe systems engineering company delivering high-quality projects across the petrochemical, oil & gas, and utilities sectors.
This is a key commercial role offering direct influence over bid success, cost accuracy, and overall project profitability. You will work closely with senior leadership and operations to secure and deliver competitive tenders.
Key Responsibilities
* Pipe systems
* Structural steelwork
* Review ITT/RFQ documentation, raise technical queries (TQs), and clarify missing information
* Interpret drawings and specifications to produce accurate material take-offs and labour calculations
* Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
* Support the full tendering process from enquiry through to submission
* Assist in risk reviews and tender analysis alongside the Sales & Estimating Manager and Operations Director
* Proven estimating experience within pipework and fabrication projects
* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
* Confident in producing detailed material take-offs and labour calculations
* Excellent communication skills with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Highly organised, numerate, and detail-oriented
* Knowledge of BS EN 1090
* Experience within structural, welded, or modular fabrications
* Good understanding of standard engineering practices
