IPS are looking for a dedicated Process Engineer II to join our talented team at our office located in Birmingham, UK.
In this role, you will assist and support the process engineering design for all types of projects. The assignments contain specific tasks on project teams, and individuals are expected to use their education, intelligence, and common sense to resolve the engineering problems and tasks they are assigned.
Position Responsibilities
* Prepares process design documents and deliverables for all phases of projects including Conceptual Designs, Basis of Design, and Detailed Design.
* Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
* Modifies reports, specifications, drawings (PFD’s and P&ID’s), construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs to the scope of the project as directed by the Lead Engineer.
* Makes calculations using engineering formulas and skills for process design.
* Creates specialized drawings such as PFDs, MFDs, UDDs, and P&ID’s.
* Selects equipment based on recommendations of Lead Process Engineer and generates equipment lists and schedules.
* Provides drawings for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate into drawings by drafters.
* Researches design options and documents findings for Lead Process Engineer.
* Keeps Lead Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
* Provides information to Lead Engineer for incorporation into specifications.
* Designs in accordance with cGMP process guidelines for pharmaceutical facilities.
* Organizes and maintains project files. Maintains a neat and organized work area for efficient access to information required by other team members.
* Ensures that drawings and designs comply with company production and design standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
* 5+ years engineering experience.
* Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
* Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
* Ability to interface with other disciplines on a project where required.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a variety of pharmaceutical projects including API, OSD, and Aseptic Fill/Finishing.
* Travel based on the project location. This position is a safety-sensitive position.
* The employee is designated for fieldwork and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
