We are a market-leading food manufacturing company operating in a modern, high-tech production facility in Skelmersdale. We are seeking mechanically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a growing engineering team.
Overview
This role provides hands-on engineering support to keep production running smoothly. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment, maintain maintenance records using our CMMS system, and collaborate with production to meet daily performance goals. Safety and best practices must be followed at all times, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver hands-on engineering support to keep production running smoothly
* Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
* Keep maintenance records up to date using our CMMS system
* Work closely with production to meet daily performance goals
* Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
* Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
* Time-served/apprenticeship-trained engineer
* Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or ONC / HNC preferred)
* Strong mechanical skillset
* Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Positive, proactive mindset and a team player
Salary and Benefits
* Salary of £57,700
* Quarterly Bonus – potential to earn £1k-£3k extra per year
