Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Assistant to join our team in Enfield EN3. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cooking and as a kitchen assistant, ensuring that all food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including basic cooking tasks, assembling sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Cooking: Perform cooking duties as required, ensuring that food is cooked to the correct temperature, taste, and presentation standards.
Kitchen Assistance: Support the kitchen team by assisting with food prep, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service, assisting with various tasks as needed.Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a food service environment, with a strong background in cooking and kitchen assistance.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (training will be provided if necessary).
Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.Benefits:
