Package Description
As an Administrator at HMP Chelmsford in the HCRG Care Group you will receive a salary of £26,118.40 per annum, group pension, free tea, coffee and milk, membership to My Reward Hub, early wage access, mental and physical wellbeing support, eLearning, and a culture encouraging innovation.
Main responsibilities
* Manage internal clinics, booking appointments and liaising with clinicians.
* Book external hospital appointments for patients referred to secondary care.
* Request and obtain medical information from patients and community GPs, ensuring timely acquisition.
* Provide medical records in compliance with GDPR.
* Receive and code safeguarding information/requests and record action with deadlines.
* Monitor phone lines and respond to queries.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings, send invitations, track responses and take minutes.
* Order and maintain equipment/supplies.
* Collate basic information in response to requests.
Schedule
Monday to Friday – 9 am to 5:30 pm (40 hours per week). Parking is not available on site; nearby car parks are within walking distance.
Ideal Candidate
* Excellent numeracy and literacy
* Competent IT skills – Word, Outlook, Excel
* Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and telephone skills
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload
* Effective time‑management and initiative
* Experience working in healthcare (desirable) and using SystemOne (desirable)
