As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join our dynamic toolmaking team here at Newhouse in a supportive team environment with a modern workshop and equipment Job Summary As a Toolmaker, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plastic injection and blow moulds. You will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure all tooling meets required specifications and tolerances, supporting efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. Experienced Plastic injection mould tool maker. The main duties of the post are: • Carry out tool/mould fault finding diagnosis and identify route to repair. • Carry out basic tool repairs and modifications • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on injection moulding and blow mould tools. • Identify and order spare parts. • Assemble, final fit, inspect and test new first build tools / moulds. • Comply with legal requirements and work within company health and safety guidelines. • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in the toolroom. The ideal Candidate will have completed a Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent in toolmaking and have experience within a tool room environment. They will also be: • Excellent problem-solving skills with good attention to detail. • Proficient in reading and interpretating technical tool drawings. • Skilled in the safe use of lifting equipment. • Skilled in the use of measuring equipment. • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and toolroom equipment. • Have a good knowledge of material properties and their application in toolmaking. • Health & Safety orientated • Able to work methodically with minimal supervision
