Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer - Interim (Maternity Cover)
Panoramic Associates are supporting a public sector client who are seeking an experienced Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their team on an interim basis. This is a maternity cover post, initially for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to extend up to 12 months.
The role will involve:
* Drafting and reviewing a high volume of complex, non-template commercial contracts
* Preparing and advising on grant agreements, deeds of variation, and demand letters for breaches
* Providing procurement support and contract management reporting
* Supporting large-scale projects from inception to completion
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and trust throughout project delivery
Essential skills:
* Strong experience handling commercial contracts (local government sector experience highly desirable)
* Solid understanding of procurement processes and requirements
* Confident communicator with excellent reporting skills
* Commercially astute, able to work on non-standard and complex agreements
Desirable skills:
* Experience supporting large-scale capital projects
* Knowledge of local government governance and procedures
Key details:
* Rate: Up to £45 per hour
* Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings if preferred (not mandatory)
* Hours: Full-time
* Contract length: 3 months minimum, with scope to extend to 12 months
* Start date: Mid-October
