Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Flow Controller to join our team in Deeside on a full time permanent basis.
Salary: £28,505 per annum, plus £2,000 shift allowance.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 7am-7pm/7pm-7am rotating.
As the Flow Controller, you will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end movement of customer orders within our fulfilment centre, ensuring 24-hour delivery, balancing workload capacity, and maximizing efficiency. This role involves high-level analysis of data to reduce risk, improve speed, and resolve bottlenecks between Picking and Shipping of customer orders.
Responsibilities of the Flow Controller include:
1. Operational Control: Managing the flow of work (Picking, Packing, Sorting, Rebinning) to keep workstations fully utilized while meeting demand, using specialized, high-tech systems, including: CROP, AFTX, Ledger, CORA, Picking Console, Lagrange, Packman, Slack, whilst maintaining constant and proactive communication with OB Operations team regarding shipment workflow status.
2. Data Analysis: Using large datasets and tools to uncover bottlenecks, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to keep the workflow balanced and risk down. Ability to evaluate and dive deep workflow data is essential.
3. Workflow Management: Creating hourly plans, tracking critical pull time (CPT), and managing service level agreements (SLAs) for multiple process paths. Ensure procedures are followed for flow management and daily execution.
4. Labour Planning: Liasing with shift leaders to efficiently move headcount when risk is identified and always ensure risk is balanced across multiple paths.
5. Plan Optimization: Using multiple Screens and tools to track processes, rates and risk and adjust flow settings to ensure hourly plans are accurate and followed by OB team.
6. Collaboration: Working with shift leaders, senior management, and CI team to implement process improvements across the operation.
Qualifications
7. Strong Multi-tasking abilities to make rapid business critical decisions under high pressure.
8. Excellent data handling skills and attention to detail.
9. Proficiency in using a range of systems, including: CROP, AFTX, Ledger, CORA, Picking Console, Lagrange, Packman, Slack is critical.
10. Proven work experience as an Operations Controller.
11. Strong communicator and networker with a proven ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
12. Organisation and prioritisation skills.
13. Experienced with, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
