Senior Gallery Technician
Location: Central London, UK
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
Are you an experienced Art/Gallery Technician based in London? Do you have a strong background in handling, hanging, and installing artwork? This could be an excellent opportunity for you.
This role involves supporting gallery and exhibition operations by ensuring artwork is handled, installed, packed, and transported safely. The successful candidate will play an important part in maintaining gallery standards, assisting with logistics, and ensuring artwork is presented and transported securely.
Working Hours:
Full Time - Monday to Friday (occasional weekends or extended hours may be required)

Key Responsibilities:
* Safely handle, transport, pack, and crate high-value artworks for galleries, exhibitions, and private clients.
* Hang and install artwork using appropriate installation methods across different wall compositions.
* Load and unload artwork during deliveries and collections, ensuring careful handling at all times.
* Assist with installation and de-installation of artworks at exhibition or client sites when required.
* Maintain gallery presentation including re-hanging artwork and general upkeep of display areas.
* Manage stock, update artwork records on internal systems, and report any damage or issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in handling, hanging, and installing artwork, preferably for Galleries or Auction Houses.
* Previous experience packing, crating, or transporting fine art or other fragile, high-value items.
* Knowledge of best practices for art handling, installation, and transportation.
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills with basic IT proficiency.
* Driving licence and experience with warehouse equipment beneficial but not essential.
