Our new Service Engineer will help keep lift systems operating smoothly across London, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire, primarily based in St Albans/Hemel Hempstead. The role focuses on routine servicing, fault resolution, and maintenance. It is a full‑time, permanent position within our Northfleet Office.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment during breakdowns, ensuring proper functioning.
* Conduct routine lift check and maintenance: speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supply, using approved tools and PPE.
* Perform routine inspection, adjustment, and component replacement of lift installations following approved procedures; document work on service log cards and PDA.
* Carry out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using technical manuals and test equipment to restore equipment to service.
* Adhere to company Occupational Health and Safety policies, UK legal requirements, and personal safety standards.
* Use handheld device for reporting work activities and adopt new real‑time reporting technologies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repair.
* NVQ Level 3 qualification in lift maintenance or equivalent.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Flexibility and strong teamwork skills.
