Join GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant in an SEN School.
We are currently representing a school who are looking to hire a committed and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their staff. This role is at a SEN school located in Basingstoke and they are looking to secure a strong, qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an inclusive classroom with children who have Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and language difficulties and require personal care.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Deliver tailored support for a pupil with ASD, ADHD, Speech and language difficulties, both in and outside the classroom.
* Assist with learning tasks, transitions, and playtime supervision.
* Support the class teacher in implementing inclusive strategies.
* Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
What We’re Looking for in a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Has relevant experience working in a school setting.
* Passion for working with children with SEN.
* Understands how to support children with communication and interaction challenges.
* Uses a range of communication strategies with patience and empathy.
* Is genuinely passionate about creating an inclusive and encouraging school experience for all pupils.

* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
