About The Role
As a Support Worker/Life Practitioner, you’ll be an integral part of the team, teaching young people life skills in context and supporting their integration. We provide all necessary training. Your responsibilities include promoting the development of communication, self-help, and independence skills—collaborating with specialists like speech therapists and educational psychologists, and providing feedback on sessions. You will also support individuals in maintaining and improving their health and emotional well-being, always promoting increased independence. Support Workers participate in a variety of recreational activities, such as trips to the Safari Park, fun fairs, or local restaurants.
Our new care model, 'Meaningful Life,' is industry first, focusing on enabling individuals to lead their most meaningful lives by integrating education, therapies, and care, with the people we support at the center of all decisions.
About You
If you have a background in care work, we will support your development. No care background? No problem—what matters is your caring approach and passion to help others.
We offer flexible hours to suit your family life:
* Days – 43.5 hours per week, 7:30 am to 8:30 pm (1-hour break)
* Typical rota: Week 1 - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; Week 2 - Wed, Thu
We support your career pathways and professional growth, including pay progression and opportunities for promotion, often from support roles to senior positions.
We will pay and support you to learn new skills and pass your care diploma.
Pay Transparency
The salary starts at £12.00 per hour (Level 1), increasing up to £13.00 per hour (Level 3), based on experience and development. Overtime rates are also available.
