Overview
We are inviting applications for a Depute Head Teacher to join St Mark's Primary School and Nursery. The Depute Head Teacher is required to assist the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school as part of a Management Team, deputise in the Head Teacher's absence, and contribute to the leadership, strategic direction and management of colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school as part of a Management Team.
* Deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence and be responsible for leadership, good management and strategic direction of colleagues.
* Deliver the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives as appropriate.
* Carry out duties outlined in Annexe B of "A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century".

Qualifications
Fully Qualified (GTC) Primary Teacher with registration in Scotland. The post is in line with statutory requirements for teaching in a Scottish state school; successful candidates may be required to obtain or maintain PVG Scheme checks and church approval where applicable.

* GTC Scotland registration is a legal requirement.
* Roman Catholic Church approval may be required for this post.
* PVG scheme or update checks may be required prior to a formal offer.
* Foreign police checks may be required for periods living or working abroad.
