Our client is a fast-growing UK electric vehicle charging network, delivering rapid and ultra-rapid charging infrastructure. With a network of conveniently located charging points across the country, including retail parks, shopping centres and other high-footfall destinations, they are on a mission to make EV charging fast, simple and accessible for every driver. The role
You'll own the social media presence end-to-end, from strategy and content creation to community management and performance reporting. Working directly with senior leadership, you'll bring the company's mission to life across channels, be the voice of the brand to its customers, and build a following that genuinely cares about the transition to cleaner transport.
What you'll do
* Own and execute the social media strategy across the website, LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok and emerging platforms
* Create, schedule and publish compelling content, copy, graphics, short-form video, that resonates with EV drivers and sustainability-conscious audiences
* Be the day-to-day voice of the brand, managing inbound customer enquiries via social, responding to Google and Apple reviews, and handling driver queries in a way that's on-brand and builds trust
* Manage and grow the community, responding to comments and messages, turning drivers and partners into advocates
* Track performance against KPIs (reach, engagement, follower growth, share of voice) and deliver regular insights to senior leadership
* Identify and manage influencer and brand partnership opportunities aligned with the company's values
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and the broader EV conversation to inform content decisions
What we're looking for
* 3+ years of hands-on social media experience within the EV charging sector
* Comfortable being the sole social media operator, you've worked in lean teams before and know how to manage content production yourself
* A strong portfolio of content, you can write, you have an eye for visuals, and you understand what works on each platform
* Confident with analytics tools and comfortable turning data into decisions
* Self-starter mentality, you can manage your own workload, hit deadlines and thrive in a fast-moving scale-up
* Genuine interest in the energy transition, EVs or sustainability
