About Our Client
Large British multi-national business looking for employment tax specialist
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
3. Support and input into development and maintenance of employment tax policy
4. Develop knowledge of the business areas and deliver best in-class tax business partnering, with key stakeholders including but not limited to HR, Reward, Global Mobility, Legal, Company Secretarial, Employee Relations, Procurement and Shared Services
5. Provide advice to the business on a wide range of technical employment tax matters
6. Research and support tax advisors on delivery of a range of tax advice and undertake ad hoc projects across the team
7. Review & monitor employment tax compliance filing and payment obligations
8. Deliver employment tax process improvements, leveraging technology and data solutions
9. Deliver tax technical training to the business
10. Proactive engagement on employment tax matters with HMRC and other tax authorities as required
11. Support the Senior Accounting Officer certification for employment taxes
12. Proactively monitor the external environment for regulatory changes, and interpret and communicate implications for the group
13. Support in establish lobbying positions on employment tax matters
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have/be:
14. Experience of working either in an in-house tax team, a function with tax responsibility OR in a professional tax services firm
15. Experience of employment tax compliance filings and payment requirements
16. Subject matter tax technical expertise to advice on (including but not limited to): employment taxes, expatriate & international employment taxes, off-payroll working arrangements, social security taxes, share plans and corporate criminal offence
17. Chartered tax qualification or willing to work towards would be desirable
