What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, ensuring clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Complying with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and have experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or similar is required; training will be provided if not already completed.
We support your professional development towards NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, enabling registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, which could lead to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.
