A supportive and inclusive SEN school in Kingston is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate KS1 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about working with young children with special educational needs (SEN). You will be part of a team that ensures every child receives the tailored support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a well-established SEN school in Kingston
* Teach a KS1 curriculum to a class of students with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
* Provide personalized support and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of each student
* Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, where students feel valued and supported
* Collaborate with SEN support staff, teaching assistants, and external professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and strategies as needed
* Encourage students’ personal development and build their confidence through tailored learning experiences
Experience & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Experience teaching KS1 students, particularly those with special educational needs
* A passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
* Strong understanding of differentiation and creating engaging lessons for students with varying needs
* Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS check required
