Overview
Assistant Psychologist role at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. Based at HMP Portland. You will support and enhance the professional psychological care of offenders within the service, including psychological assessment and psychological interventions under supervision, and work independently according to a plan agreed with the qualified psychologist and within the team\'s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Provide psychological therapy services to service users residing in HMP Portland as part of the integrated mental health team.
* Provide psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist.
* Work independently according to a plan agreed with the qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team\'s policies and procedures.
* Assist in clinically related administration, conduct audits, collect statistics, develop audit and/or research projects, and contribute to teaching.
* Engage in trauma-informed care, including supporting prison colleagues by providing teaching, training and consultation.
