Job Title: Product Support Technician
We are seeking a Product Support Technician to provide technical support for engineering products and projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in maintaining legacy products by supporting design engineering for drawing updates, BOM, manufacturing, and material changes to meet device and manufacturing requirements.
2. Build and evaluate concepts and prototypes to demonstrate product performance, manufacturability, material selection, safety, and cost in line with customer and regulatory standards.
3. Manage engineering builds to facilitate design and manufacturing changes.
4. Develop test protocols based on defined test methods to generate reliable, compliant data during design verification.
5. Conduct physical, electrical, and simulated use testing and inspections of medical devices to support design verification.
6. Create and release formal Bill of Materials via the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
7. Support project teams and process engineering in product design development, ensuring documentation meets customer, company, and project specifications.
8. Manage development tasks within timelines and budgets, providing performance updates to management.
9. Document design history files in compliance with GMP, QSR, ISO, and company PDP requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Adhere to Company Quality Standards, GDP, and GMP requirements.
Qualifications:
* Higher National Certificate/Diploma or equivalent in Science, Engineering, or Technology.
* Broad technical knowledge and strong analytical skills.
* Effective communication skills with technical personnel.
* Logical and creative thinking with good report writing skills.
* Integrity, customer focus, accountability, and teamwork.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
* Proactive and able to use initiative.
* Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
