We are seeking a skilled Waste Driver/Loader (HGV) to join a reputable client on a temporary contract basis. If you have a valid HGV license and a proactive approach to your work, this could be the perfect role for you! As a HGV Waste Driver/Loader, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while assisting with loading and unloading as needed. This position demands a reliable, safety-conscious individual with a good understanding of HGV operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Candidate Responsibilities - Drive HGV vehicles: Safely operate heavy goods vehicles for refuse and recycling collections. Operate collection equipment: Use both automatic and manual equipment to empty bins and load waste onto the vehicle. Collect waste: Empty and move wheeled bins, sacks, and bulky items from properties in all weather conditions. Sort and load recyclables: Collect, sort, and load materials like glass, paper, cans, and textiles. Supervise crew: Provide direction and supervision to a small team of loaders or other drivers during duties.
