Coventry City Council are urgently looking to recruit a qualified experienced Social work – Team Manager to join their team.
Your new role
As a member of the Children’s Services Management team, to take responsibility for the management and delivery of an effective and efficient service for children, young people and their families. To assist the Operational Lead with the delivery of a professional service, through providing professional supervision. Adhere to the Social Work England code of practice for social workers.To be responsible for the effective provision of services delivered by, andmissioned by, a Children's Social Care Team. To manage Social Care Staff and ensure assessments arepleted within timescales and cases are progressed appropriately. Ensuring services provided are in accordance with the Children Act 1989,2004, Inter-agency Child Protection guidelines and Departmental procedures and expectations.
Managing 8 Social Workers supporting children and families under Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), pre-proceedings, court processes, and Looked After Children (LAC).
You will work closely with professionals from a range of agencies, including health, education and social care, police and youth offending services, in order to improve lived experiences for children.
This role will pay up to £ per hour depending on experience and a 3-month rolling contract. JD available upon request.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration (SWE) and have experience working as a Team Manager within Children’s services.
