Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a dedicated SEMH School in Bottesford, who are seeking a committed Primary Teacher to teach KS1 and KS2 pupils. This is a full teaching role including planning, marking, assessment and wider responsibilities. The role is open to both experienced teachers and NQTs/ECTs wishing to grow within a specialist SEMH environment.
The Role
As the Primary Teacher in this SEMH setting, you will:
Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons to KS1 and KS2 pupils.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of academic, emotional and behavioural needs.
Provide a structured, nurturing and calm learning environment.
Work closely with the pastoral and therapeutic teams to ensure holistic support for each child.
Use resilience, patience and creativity to re-engage pupils who may have experienced disrupted or difficult educational journeys.
Take responsibility for planning, marking and reporting in line with a full teaching position.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and/or experience supporting children with additional or complex needs.
Ability to teach across KS1 and KS2, adapting work to individual levels.
A patient, nurturing and child-focused approach.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Due to the rural location, own transport and ability to drive are essential.
Working Hours
Monday-Thursday: 08:30 - 16:30
Friday: 08:30 - 16:00 (early finish!)
