About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Permit to Work (PTW) / HSE Officer to join our team on a 15-month contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe execution of operations across our sites while maintaining compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
You will play a key role in implementing Life Saving Rules, managing permits, conducting inspections, and supporting a proactive safety culture across operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Training & Induction: Deliver HSE inductions and training for operatives and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to Life Saving Rules.
Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct HSE inspections of internal teams and subcontractor activities. Monitor compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update HSE procedures, reports, and KPIs. Ensure accurate reporting for operational activities.
Risk Management: Verify compliance with safety risk assessments and ensure Job Safety Analyses (JSA) are prepared for all operations.
Equipment & Compliance Control: Ensure all equipment utilized on site meets safety standards and compliance requirements.
Accident Investigation: Assist in the investigation and analysis of accidents, identifying trends and proposing corrective measures.
Hazardous Materials & Environmental Supervision: Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials. Supervise environmental aspects on site.
HSE Communication & Culture: Disseminate HSE rules, standards, procedures, and bulletins. Promote a proactive safety culture across the team.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 10–15 years in a PTW Officer or similar HSE role within the Oil & Gas industry.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of HSE procedures, Life Saving Rules, and risk management.
Proven experience in conducting inspections, audits, and implementing PTW systems.
Ability to train personnel and drive safety culture across teams.
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and environmental management.
Personal Attributes: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.
