This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a mixed farming business that includes a beef enterprise, free-range poultry unit, and arable operation across 1,100 acres in the picturesque market town of South Lincolnshire.
This family-owned business also offers accommodation, with excellent local amenities and both primary and secondary schools close by.
Key Responsibilities:
The day-to-day running of the beef farming enterprise. Manage and provide training to the team. Maintain accurate breeding plans and farm records. Able to take youngstock through to finishing, as well as breeding replacements. Liaise with vets, nutritionists, and farm representatives. What we are looking for
An experienced beef breeding herd manager Good understanding of a mixed farming enterprise Flexible in meeting the demands of the business Excellent communication skills Familiarity with Breeder software and genetics Good organisational skills and knowledge of farming finances Competent in operating farm machinery Full UK driving licence What's on offer
