The Education Network is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Bradford to recruit an inspirational and committed Head of Year. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or ambitious middle leader to join a supportive and forward-thinking team dedicated to raising aspirations and securing positive outcomes for all students.
The Role: As Head of Year, you will:
Lead and manage the pastoral care, behaviour, and academic progress of a specific year group.
Work closely with form tutors, subject leaders, and senior staff to ensure students achieve their potential.
Support the school’s vision by promoting high expectations, positive behaviour, and strong attendance.
Be a visible, approachable, and proactive presence around the school.
Monitor data and implement strategies to raise achievement and close gaps.The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a proven track record of improving outcomes.
Have strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Demonstrate the ability to inspire, motivate, and support young people.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
