Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic BSE accredited Cardiac Physiologists to join our team and provide excellent care to patients at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and at new Community Diagnostic Centre. This is an opportunity to champion for diagnostic services on site and away from acute facilities with direct impact on patient experience and outcomes.

We are a BSE accredited department, currently providing adult TTE (inpatient and outpatient), TOE, DSE, ESE, contrast and bubble echo procedures to the trust. We are also in the process of developing an exciting new echo-oncology service, which we hope to launch next year.

We engage and encourage opportunities for continuous professional development, alongside weekly group teaching and echo-discussion sessions.

We offer a 12.5% recruitment and retention premium package in addition to your salary, as well as weekend/evening bank work at a competitive rate.

If you are looking to make a difference and share Addenbrooke’s values to ensure exceptional healthcare for patients and the community, consider applying to join our team and be part of innovative ways of delivering the diagnostic services people need.

Main duties of the job

You will remain professional at all times, liaise with other clinical teams and maintain good public relations on a one-to-one basis with the general public and other interest groups.

You will hold BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent, full BSE accreditation (or European equivalent), and will be interested in working with the 8a Cardiac Physiology Lead to deliver Stress echo, Audit and Transthoracic echo services. Also, you will be involved in all aspects of the non-invasive Cardiology Department, including Holter Analysis, ETT, and administrative duties such as triaging.
