You will work closely with operational teams to ensure billing accuracy, support contract milestone invoicing, and maintain clear visibility of aged debt. Your key responsibilities will include: Accounts Receivable & Invoice Management End to End Invoice Processing – Raise accurate sales invoices in line with contract terms, milestone agreements, and internal approval processes. Customer Query Resolution – Investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies by collaborating with internal departments and customers. Professional Customer Communication – Manage customer queries efficiently and maintain strong working relationships. Credit Control – Proactively manage aged debt, issue statements, and follow up on overdue payments. Ledger & Cash Management Sales Ledger Maintenance – Ensure customer accounts are accurate, up to date, and regularly reviewed. Customer Account Reconciliations – Conduct reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of issues. Cash Allocation – Post and allocate customer receipts accurately within the ERP system. Credit Limit Monitoring – Support the review and monitoring of customer credit limits. Financial Reporting & Compliance Audit Support – Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and maintaining compliance. Month End, Quarter End & Year End Support – Contribute to financial closing activities by ensuring accurate revenue recording and reconciliation. Cross Functional Support Accounts Payable Assistance – Provide occasional support and cover for the purchase ledger function as required. Other Finance Duties – Support ad hoc financial tasks and improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. The above is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required. EXPERIENCE Proven Sales Ledger Experience – Previous experience in accounts receivable or sales ledger, managing invoicing and credit control activities. Strong Microsoft Office Skills – Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to analyse data and produce reports. Experience in a Contract or Project Environment – Ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or defence sectors where milestone billing is common. Excellent Communication & Relationship Building Skills – Confident working with customers and internal stakeholders across the business.
