Your Impact: As Group Management Accountant, you'll be the go-to finance lead for operational excellence, partnering with senior leaders and supporting the Finance Director. You'll bring structure, insight, and strategy to an evolving finance function, working across several companies and helping shape the future of the group. Duties: Operational Finance * Lead the finance function across multiple business units. * Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end processes. * Support external audits and statutory reporting. Business Partnering * Deliver financial insights that inform decision-making at the top level. * Drive the budgeting and forecasting cycle across all departments. * Translate numbers into clear action plans for operational teams. Financial Planning & Modelling * Produce monthly management accounts and variance reports. * Build and refine detailed financial models (P&L, BS, CF). * Manage and optimise cash flow forecasting. Compliance & Control * Ensure financial systems meet internal and external compliance standards. * Maintain up-to-date processes in line with HMRC and pension regulations. Process & Systems Enhancement * Drive efficiency through process improvements and tech integration. * Champion the use of digital tools across finance workflows. Team Leadership * Manage and mentor a small, capable finance team. * Encourage continuous learning and foster a collaborative culture. What We're Looking For: Essentials * Qualified/ Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) * Experience working with multiple entities or within a group structure. * Advanced Excel user and confident with financial systems (Sage a plus). * Strong communicator with a sharp eye for detail and deadlines. Nice to Have * M&A or external finance exposure. * Experience building integrated financial models. * A mindset geared toward improvement and growth.
