Help people shine - join MacIntyre as a full-time Learning Support Worker and help others grow, thrive, and learn new skills everyday!
We're on the lookout for creative, positive people to join our bustling team in Chesterfield, where we support over 100 people to live gloriously ordinary lives. Whether in our Learning Centres, out and about in the local area, or during the little everyday moments - a chat over coffee, a trip to the shop - every moment is an opportunity for you to support somebody to build their confidence, discover new interests, and develop life skills.
We're all about connection - to each other, to our communities, and to meaningful experiences. You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities in a role that's as rewarding as it is varied. One day, you might be helping someone learn how to cook their favourite meal, the next you could be supporting them to volunteer, explore a new hobby, or build independence in everyday tasks. Your UK manual driving licence will also unlock opportunities beyond the local area for people to do the things they want to do.
If you're thoughtful, ambitious, and willing to go the extra mile to support people to live life on their own terms, we'd love to have you on board.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. If you're open to learning, share our values, and genuinely care about making a difference, we'll support you every step of the way with full training & development opportunities. The one thing you'll need is a full UK manual driving licence, as you'll be driving service vehicles as part of the role.
MacIntyre is a national charity which supports over 1,200 people with a learning disability and/or autism.
We were founded in 1966 by the visionary parent of a child with disabilities and have been growing steadily ever since. We celebrate and develop everyone's unique gifts, talents and contributions.
