Our Client:
A manufacturing business based in Leicester are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join their team. As a Counterbalance Driver you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
* Operating a forklift (Counterbalance experience and licence required)
* Driving and general labour tasks
* Keeping the yard and factory floor clean
* Sorting waste into the correct containers
* Unloading lorries with sheet materials and organizing storage in the factory
* Loading our own vans and lorries
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Valid forklift operator certification and/or experience
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
* Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
* Driving licence
Day-to-day:
* Operating forklifts
* Driving the company xsngvjr van
* Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
* Performing basic maintenance tasks
* Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the factory yard and storage areas
* Following all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment
