Job Description

Paralegal - Temporary until November - £14.94 - Coventry based client 3 days working from home 2 from the Coventry offices.

Job responsibilities:

Provide support for a broad range of legal matters, with your key responsibilities including undertaking legal research and supporting the provision of legal advice to colleagues within the organisation.

Work with the Legal Services Officer (LSO) to manage and triage the Legal services in-box.

Engage with clients, stakeholders, and third parties, promptly addressing correspondence, calls, and emails. Consult with and provide the necessary updates on transactional matters to the internal teams and where relevant issue instructions to external legal panel firms.

Maintain the case management spreadsheet and assist in keeping internal systems up to date with papers issued, exchanges and other associated milestones.

Assist the LSO on the completion of transactional matters i.e. Shared Ownership staircasing, Deeds of Variation, Removal of restrictions on title etc.

Assist with title and other property queries with the Land Registry.

Meticulously review documents and ensure all necessary checks are performed to identify potential issues or discrepancies in legal documentation.

Assist in gaining and analysing internal feedback on the performance of the Legal Services Panel.

Skills and experienced required:

Experience working within property / conveyancing and an understanding of procedures (minimum 6 months - 1 year)

Excellent working knowledge of a range of legal documents, e.g. leases, contracts, agreements, transfers etc.

Strong IT skills with working knowledge of a range of applications and software commensurate with the role and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A methodical and accurate approach to all tasks with great attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent organisational skills.

Experience of maintaining accurate filing systems and databases, be able to work collaboratively and be able to take charge of diary management
